Why join the LTVTA?
Our focus is on SHARING KNOWLEDGE and FOSTERING BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS. We will encourage this by connecting members at regular networking functions. We’ll provide the most current information on issues of relevance to our members, to keep abreast of the constantly shifting playing field. We’ll present opportunities for you access skills training, we’ll bring in expert speakers to address YOU at our functions. We’ll connect you to the people that provide an excellent source of referral business – your industry colleagues. At the core of our organisation is our members and we exist to look after our industry.ADVOCACY
The LTVTA will be the voice to our regional tourism organization, Tourism Northern Tasmania, by providing a two way communication between us as the industry body for the area, and them as the regional body that communicates directly with TICT and Tourism Tasmania. We provide them with industry feedback and updates, help identify gaps in local industry offerings on a local level, and assist in feeding information to our members or marketing and training opportunities. The LTVTA has representatives from all three councils in our area sitting on the board, allowing us direct access to our individual local council.NETWORKING
Our functions are not just about a handful of the same old people propping up the bar. Networking in tourism is paramount to being seen as a successful and serious player in the tourism game. Yes, many a deal has been done over a drink, but meeting someone face to face has so much more value when you can contact that person or understand their business better from having had a conversation with them. At networking functions, you’ll learn something from the guest speaker, be given the chance to introduce yourself and your business to everyone in the room, check out a different venue each time, and hand out and receive business cards from the movers and shakes in the industry.UPSKILLING
One of the things we think we can offer is the facilitation of training opportunities for members to continually improve their knowledge of the industry.COMMUNICATION
LTVTA members receive ALL the news from within the industry. TNT relies on our organization to deliver news items, training opportunities, information requests and more. So if you’re not a member, you’ll often miss out on essential information. We send a regular newsletter to all members and conduct annual surveying to ensure we’re meeting your needs. We are your link with TNT, TICT and Tourism Tasmania. Talk to us and we will represent your interests to the wider industry.MEMBER BENEFITS
